No one doubted that Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) is the most ingenious detectives on earth. No criminal can get away with it if Sherlock had intervened. But this was different. Sherlock Holmes is not faced by ordinary criminals. He is clever and the more frightening, these criminals do not hesitate to sacrifice many lives.

Sherlock Holmes The investigation started when he was convinced that the death of the heir to the throne of Austria has just happened is not something reasonable. Sherlock believes this poor man was murdered. The investigation began and this time Sherlock not only accompanied by Dr Watson (Jude Law) but also Mycroft Holmes (Stephen Fry), the brother of Sherlock.

The farther Sherlock investigate, began to emerge a few clues. One clue is the Sim (Noomi Rapace), Gypsy women who turns out to be one of the keys of the mystery of the death of the prince. Hunting detective Sherlock then bring it to France, Germany and even Switzerland but Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris) seems far more slippery than expected Sherlock.
